Chinese Chicken Salad Recipe 

Today we are making Chinese style Chicken salad. It is super easy and delicious. Let’s get right into it. I am using 3 chicken thighs today. Put it into water boil it until it cooks through. It will take about 8 minutes. And Yes, chicken breast will work as well. Let it cool down to room temperature and rip it into strips. Just like this. It is a pretty good way to make sure your chicken becomes super flavorful.

**INGREDIENTS FOR SHREDDED CHICKEN SALAD:**


  • - 3 chicken thigh (or 200 grams of the chicken breast)
  • - 1 cup of shredded carrot
  • - 1 cup of shredded cucumber
  • - 1/4 cup of cilantro
  • - Some jasmine flower
  • **FOR MAKING THE SALAD DRESSING**
  • - 2 or 3 tbsp of jasmine tea or water 
  • - 1 tbsp of minced garlic
  • - 1/2 tbsp of minced ginger
  • - 1 tbsp of dough ban Jiang
  • - 2 tsp of Chinese black vinegar
  • - 2 tsp of sesame oil
  • - 1 tsp of sesame seeds



             Once you are done, transfer that into a large bowl. Add a bunch of shredded cucumber and carrot. I also like to put a hand full cilantro Set it aside. Let’s make the sauce First we need to make a cup of jasmine tea Pour in boiled water. Let it sit for a few minutes. If you have fresh ones that will be even better. 

    This is my version. Usually, we only use regular water. But I find out that using flower tea adds fresh aroma into the dish. We gonna need about 2-3 tbsp into the sauce bowl. Add in 1 tbsp of minced garlic 1/2 tbsp of minced ginger This amount of garlic and Ginger is really intense if you don’t like it that much you can adjust it Next ingredients are the soul of Sichuan - 1tbsp of dou ban Jiang This is a traditional Sichuan chili bean paste. 
        
 Pretty spicy, has decent flavor. We use it all the time for the Sichuan dish we call it the soul of Sichuan If you like Chinese food, and you like spicy. It is good to have some in your kitchen. If you can’t find it, you can try to use your favorite chili sauce. But it won’t taste the same Besides that, We gonna add 2 tsp of Chinese black vinegar. Drizzle in 2 tsp of sesame oil.

  Give it a mix. Taste it and see if you need more salt. If it is too salty, add more jasmine tea in it. Pour the sauce into the big bowl. Toss everything together make sure everything is coated with that delicious dressing. If you like to finish it with some sesame seed on the top Oh, that’s awesome Taste really good. Quite spicy.
